TATTOOS FAQS

  • No alcohol 24 hours before your appointment. Please try and make sure you have had something to eat and drink about an hour before.

Please be aware we will not tattoo anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Make sure you dress so that you can easily expose the area that you are likely to get your tattoo. Also, the tattoo will be dressed afterward, and we wouldn’t advise any tight clothing going on after this. Tattoo ink may stain clothing, your tattoo artist will do his best to keep your clothing clean. Though there is always a possibility of getting ink on your clothes, so dark clothing is favourable.

  • We do not recommend the use of any numbing cream. These types of creams block your pores and absorb into the skin making it very hard to tattoo. Tattoos done after the application of numbing cream are at a very high risk of fading or “pushing the ink out”.

  • 18+ only! This is the law. And we require physical ID in the form of a passport or drivers license ONLY. We do not accept pictures or scans of either

  • We recommend at least 6 weeks before exposing a fresh tattoo to sun/sea/swimming. This is due to the risk of poor healing and infection.

  • Well, to be honest, yes it does! It is being done with needles after all, but it really doesn’t feel all that bad and after the first few minutes, the body’s natural endorphins kick in and you do get used to it. It is irritating rather than agonizing, like a hot/cold buzzing feeling.

  • We will email an aftercare sheet to you explaining everything, as well as verbal aftercare instructions post appointment. We will apply a dressing on the tattoo before you leave the studIo.

Wash the tattoo gently with warm running water and a mild fragrance free soap and gently pat dry the tattoo

Apply one of our recommended aftercare products as directed by your artist (usually 2 or 3 times a day).

Do not use Vaseline or similar products that leave the skin greasy. Your skin needs to breath to heal.

Wash the tattoo daily until healed.

Most importantly DO NOT pick or scratch the scab off as this can leave white gaps in the tattoo where the ink has come out and cause infection.

You must avoid swimming/sun beds/saunas while the tattoo is healing.

Try to ensure sure clothes do not rub or irritate the tattoo and avoid tight restrictive clothing.
